What is the difference between RecDot, NoteKit, OpenNote, and Nano+?

RecDot — AI earbuds with FlashRecord. Wear them all day for work and everyday listening, and tap to record meetings, lectures, or ideas on the go. Available in Black and Silver. Up to 36 hours battery life, 4.8 g per earbud.

NoteKit — A plug-and-play USB AI note taker for computer-based meetings. Connects to your Windows or Mac and picks up audio within a 5 m range. Works with Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, and more.

OpenNote — Open-ear AI earphones with FlashRecord. Hi-Res audio + ANC, 53-hour battery, ideal for all-day wear while staying aware of your surroundings.

Nano+ — Compact AI recording earbuds with 45 dB ANC and a NoteKit bundle option. Available in Shiny Black and Shadow Green.

How many languages does viaim support for transcription and translation?

How does FlashRecord work?

FlashRecord lets you start recording instantly — directly from your earbuds (RecDot, OpenNote, Nano+) or from the charging case button (RecDot). No need to open the app first. The recording syncs to the viaim AI app automatically when your device reconnects. This is ideal for capturing ideas, conversations, or meetings on the go.

What AI features are included? Do I need a subscription?

Every viaim device comes with 600 minutes of free AI transcription per month. Included features: real-time transcription in 78 languages, smart summaries, key takeaways, action item extraction, and note sharing.

For heavier usage or advanced AI features, you can upgrade to a viaim AI Pro or Ultra Plan. Monthly and annual plans are available in the store.

Is viaim secure? Does it comply with data privacy standards?

Yes. viaim is certified under ISO 27001, ISO 27701, SOC 2 Type II, HIPAA, and EN 18031. Your recordings and transcriptions are processed with enterprise-grade security. We do not sell your data to third parties.

Does NoteKit need an internet connection to work?

NoteKit requires an internet connection for AI transcription and translation. The device itself is plug-and-play (no drivers needed), but AI processing happens via the viaim cloud. A stable Wi-Fi or Ethernet connection is recommended for the best transcription accuracy.

Can I use RecDot or OpenNote as regular earbuds for music?

Yes. RecDot and OpenNote both deliver Hi-Res audio with Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) for everyday music, calls, and podcasts — in addition to their AI recording features. RecDot has up to 36 hours total battery life; OpenNote has up to 53 hours.

What is the NoteKit + RecDot (or OpenNote) bundle?

The bundle pairs a viaim earbud device (RecDot or OpenNote) with the NoteKit USB recorder, giving you both wearable AI recording for in-person or outdoor conversations and desktop-quality audio capture for online meetings — all in one package at a discounted price.

Where do you ship to?

We ship worldwide. Please visit our Shipping Policy page for a full list of supported countries and estimated delivery times by region.

How long does delivery take?

Delivery times vary by destination. Standard processing is 1–3 business days, followed by shipping transit time. Most orders to the US arrive within 5–10 business days. International orders may take longer. You will receive a tracking number by email once your order has shipped.

How can I track my order?

Once your order ships, you will receive a tracking number via email. You can also track your order directly on our Order Track page.

Do I need to pay customs or import duties?

Depending on your country, your order may be subject to customs duties and import taxes. These charges are the responsibility of the recipient and are not included in the product price. We recommend checking with your local customs authority before ordering.

How do I start a return or exchange?

How long does a refund take?

Questions about product warranty coverage

What warranty do viaim products come with?

All viaim hardware products come with a 1-year limited warranty covering manufacturing defects. The warranty does not cover accidental damage, water damage (unless stated in the product specs), or normal wear and tear. Please see our Warranty Policy for full coverage details.

How do I make a warranty claim?

Email service@viaim.ai with your order number, a description of the issue, and photos or a short video if possible. Our support team will review your claim and respond within 2 business days.

How do I set up the viaim AI app?

Download the viaim AI app on your iOS or Android device (or desktop), sign up for a free account, and pair your viaim device via Bluetooth. Step-by-step setup guides are available in our Product Academy and User Guide.

What is the difference between the Pro and Ultra subscription plans?

Both plans extend your monthly AI transcription minutes beyond the free 600-minute limit and unlock additional AI features. The Ultra Plan offers a higher monthly minute allowance and priority access to advanced AI models. Please see the Plans page for current pricing and feature comparisons.

Can I cancel my subscription at any time?

Yes. You can cancel your subscription at any time from within the viaim AI app or by contacting service@viaim.ai. Your plan remains active until the end of the current billing period.
